Donors are an essential part of our Hospital’s healthcare team, they give our caregivers the tools they need to heal, comfort, and care for patients at Guelph General Hospital.

We are incredibly fortunate to live in a generous community. Each year, over 3,000 members from our community respond to the Hospital’s funding needs by giving generously to help Guelph General Hospital provide the highest quality and safest patient care possible – for all those we love.

Did you know?

• A donor-funded Mammography machine arrived at Guelph General Hospital in 2019 that was the first in Canada with new advancements in breast imaging, resulting in earlier detection and treatment.

• More than $3 million in donations funded Guelph General Hospital's most significant medication safety initiative.

• Guelph General Hospital’s Emergency Department wait times are consistently in the lowest five in the province.

• GGH is one of Ontario’s most efficiently run MRI scanners. Month-over- month, GGH completes a high number of patient scans per hour compared to others in the province.

• Guelph General Hospital now has a vital signs monitor for the bedside of every patient, thanks to many generous donors who made this possible.

• Guelph General Hospital sees more than 60,000 Emergency Department patients every year.

• Guelph General Hospital has close to 2000 staff, physicians, and midwives.

• Guelph General Hospital's annual budget is approximately $170 million each year.
